About Bennett
My name is Bennett Bryant and I am currently a junior at Jacksonville State University. I am majoring in communications with a concentration in digital media and minoring in marketing. A hard working individual who is always eager to learn. Having experience in audio and film editing I am skilled in standard software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, and Audacity.
Challenging myself academically I have been named to the deans list for back to back semesters here at JSU since 2022. I am apart of Public Relations Student Society of America where I am the VP of Fundraising. I am also a member of the staff team For WLJS a student led radio station here at Jacksonville State.
Having a radio show for the last few semesters has really opened my mind on the kind of work I want to do. My hour long show is called The Latest, where I talk about important information happening in the world and in pop culture media. Entertainment media is my passion and I will strive to succeed in every project that comes my way.

The Latest is my radio show that I do here at Jacksonville, this student led radio station has taught me so much and has been a main highlight of my time here at Jax State.
My show is dedicated to covering new pop culture topics. From blockbuster movies to latest celebrity news, I do all the homework necessary to provide all of the topics and material for each one of my shows.
Being apart of the radio station has opened my eyes to how truly exciting the world of media and broadcasting is. I have enjoyed every aspect of radio from writing out scripts and planning segments which has showed me how creative you can be when it comes to art in communications. I have learned that radio is more than just listening to music but its how you create an experience for someone while they are in their car or sitting behind a desk. Whether it’s one listener or one thousand listeners even if you made one person laugh or relate to your content then you are doing a good job.
